The club have announced this evening that James Collins has failed a fitness test on a calf injury and has not traveled with the squad to face Bolton. Luke Young is fit but hasn’t played since December through injury but he may have to be rushed back. The third central defensive absentee joins Cuellar and Dunne so could this mean that Stephen Warnock or Habib Beye must at least feature in the squad? One would hope so with the preference definitely being Warnock in my opinion. If Young is deemed not ready by Houllier and Warnock and Beye continue to be overlooked, the Villa back line may well consist of Kyle Walker (20), Ciaran Clark (21), Nathan Baker (19) and centre midfielder Fabian Delph (21). As Alan Hansen famously said ‘you won’t win anything with kids’ but can Villa’s youngsters topple Bolton away tomorrow?
