Villa Player Ratings / Stats vs QPR

Here is a breakdown of the Villa’s best and worst performers in terms of ratings and statistics vs QPR with Bannan, Dunne and Ireland impressing.

Player Ratings

Shay Given – 7 – one great stop from Shaun Wright-Phillips kept Villa ahead but couldn’t prevent equaliser

Alan Hutton – 6 – lucky not to concede a penalty, good in the air, otherwise anonymous

Richard Dunne – 7.5 – commanding showing which ended in desperately unfortunate fashion

James Collins – 6.5 – good up until late error cost Villa all 3 points

Stephen Warnock – 6.5 – a particularly bad tackle on Barton but that can be easily forgiven. Good cross led to penalty

Stiliyan Petrov – 6.5 – like much of the team, much better in the second half and a good hand in the move which led to the penalty

Fabian Delph – 6.5 – got around less than usual but better in distribution

Charles N’Zogbia – 6 – some bright touches were let down by awful ones in attacking areas. Lacking in confidence

Barry Bannan – 7.5 – two brilliant set pieces were unlucky not to yield two brilliant goals but he did get on the scoresheet

Stephen Ireland – 7 – very nice touches strung together most of Villa’s best play in 2nd half but too laboured in possession at times

Gabby Agbonlahor – 6.5 – completely isolated on the main but worked hard to keep defence on their toes

Subs

Marc Albrighton – 6.5 – looked to impress again but needs to know when to keep hold of the ball

Andi Weimann – no time
