Villa Agree to Hull’s Emergency Guzan Loan Offer

Aston Villa have agreed to Championship side Hull City’s emergency loan offer for keeper Brad Guzan. The American has spent the last 2 months at the club, making 11 appearances for the club, coinciding with a decent run of form for the Tigers. Guzan had returned to Villa Park after Hull decided that they put preference on a high quota of outfield loan recruits, with Arsenal’s young stopper Vito Mannone providing back-up. However, the Italian stopper picked up a thigh injury against Forest last time out so an emergency loan was required. Guzan will go straight into tonight’s squad to face Burnley, where he could come face to face with Villa team-mate Nathan Delfouneso who joined Eddie Howe’s club on loan earlier today. Guzan has been part of defensive unit which kept 4 clean sheets in his 11 starts, shipping 10 goals in the process. The club has won 5, drawn 4 and lost just twice.
