Real Interest from Madrid in £15m Young

Jose Mourinho is thought to be lining up a move for Aston Villa winger Ashley Young as he looks to steal a march on the likes of Manchester United and Liverpool for the 25-year-old’s signature. As we all know Young is out of contract in 2012 meaning he will be available for a considerably lower price than usual, with many suggesting that £15m would now force Villa’s hand. Mourinho saw plenty of Young during his time at Chelsea and indeed will have been sick of the site of the England international when a defeat to Villa all but rubber-stamped his release from the London club, a game in which the winger stole the show. Young remains tight lipped over his future but if we got £15m I think it would be best to cut out losses and bring in 2 players of close to, if not equal ability, it is possible! That possibility has been reduced by a dismal season which is set to see the club finish firmly in the bottom half but plenty of names have already been linked, despite the uncertainty over the managerial position of Gerard Houllier.
