Aston Villa’s young full-back Kyle Walker, on loan from Tottenham until the end of the season, has hit out at critics questioning his ability after two below par performances. Walker, via Twitter, admitted to a slight dip in form but reminded those whom have slated the youngster, of exactly that, he is still only a youngster. It is easy to forget that the Spurs defender is just 20, younger than the likes of Clark and Albrighton, though Walker is the only one of them to retain his place of late after a fantastic start to his time at Villa saw him earn a senior England call-up. The former Blades man was notably disheartened when substituted in the win over Newcastle, with Emile Heskey giving him a supportive word whilst on the bench. The last two games haven’t gone well for Walker but the player hit back at those who are doubting him, Tweeting: “One bad performance and one just below average and people start questioning u typical!!! I’m 20!!!”
