Villa’s season has been a great deal brighter in a pretty dull campaign due to the emergence, both forced and unforced, of some of the club’s blossoming young talent. The likes of Marc Albrighton, Ciaran Clark and Barry Bannan have all played perhaps surprisingly extensive roles this season, due to injuries to first team stars but mainly because, on performances, they’ve deserved to. This beg’s the question – Who has been Villa’s Young Player of the Season? If you haven’t done so already, please also vote on the previous polls regarding Villa’s best defensive, midfield and attacking force of the season as well as signing of the season. There are numerous candidates who I have excluded as they have not featured quite enough to be deemed worthy of a nomination in my eyes, though the efforts of the likes of Hogg, Lichaj, Baker, Herd and Delfouneso should not be overlooked. Kyle Walker has also been omitted despite a fantastic impact as he has not appeared quite as much, though he is inevitably a nominee for signing of the season?
