Aston Villa were forced to apologise to fans yesterday after there was an issue with a number of the kits that were due to be released online this week. With many fans having ordered their kit for the new season some time ago, they will now have to wait a further two months until November to receive them. A club statement issued stated that Aston Villa and kit sponsors Nike, who have been partnered since 2007, have come to an agreement to postpone the online release due to “quality issues” in a number of already manufactured shirts. The club stated that the situation was out of their control and re-enforced the satisfaction of the fans is of utmost importance to both Aston Villa and Nike.

Due to the inconvenience Villa have cut the prices of the kits, already on sale at Villa Village and New Street by a measly £5’s meaning that the prices will have frozen from last term. The new prices in store are as follows; Adults £45, Juniors £40 and kids £35. The news has disappointed many Villan’s who were hoping to pull on the new kit to support the club for next weekends home clash with Bolton. Not Good.
