Aston Villa Blog is mainly written by Martin Banks, a West Midlands born and bred football writer. Martin is a third generation Villan, and through his school years he was regularly in the headmaster’s office for refusing to go to school without a Villa top under his school shirt and he never took off his Villa wristbands, even on the rare occasion that he took a bath!

Aston Villa Blog was born in late 2008 and has burst onto the world of football blogs with a determination to bring you up-to-the-minute news and informed opinions on the Mighty Villans.
