N’Zogbia spends the evening on O’Neill’s sofa
Newcastle’s French winger Charles N’Zogbia didn’t travel to Manchester to face the moneybags side tonight… and why?
Because he was busy talking contracts with Martin O’Neill.
While his team were losing to City, the Zog was sitting where many wish it had been Michael Owen instead, sipping Lerner’s scotch and agreeing a deal to move to the Mighty Villans. It’s believed he has ambitions to get the seat next to Shorey on the bench.
How do I know this? Because I’m looking through their window right now… no, I’m not really. This is all just speculation and elaboration really. But I have heard a rumour that N’Zogbia is in the Midlands, discussing a move with Villa. Whether it’s true, I’m not totally sure but I’ll keep you informed as soon as I know more.

If N’Zogbia does have an issue with his temperament, but MoN still decides to sign him, then we have to believe that MoN thinks he can sort him out and get the best out of him. N’Zogbia clearly has talent, he’s left-sided, and exactly the kind of player we need to share the workload of Ashley and Milner – not to mention his ability to cover at left back – and if it comes to that, I’d much rather have N’Zogbia playing there than Barry, who we need playing in the middle. In short, if we sign him, I’ll be delighted.
This boy has 2 great feet…yes! we av heard of his BIG BOY BAGGAGE but Mr O’neill will sort that little problem out….WELCOME 2 VILLA PARK Charles N’zogbia!!! ur in the right hands….”MARTIN THE MAGICIAN!!!
It would be great to strengthen the squad, but I’ll believe it when I see it!!
this is a joke of a rumour
In what way Villaripper? As in you don’t believe it or as in you don’t like the idea of N’Zogbia moving to Villa?
Would be a good signing, can cover anywhere on the left side and has bags of pace (pity he’s french, but hey, you can’t have everything!!)
Very possible,
N’Zogbia is a quality player and it wouldn’t suprise me if we snapped him up before the 2nd of Feb.
Although it’s pure speculation, but to leave one your better players out of the squad is either punishment for his outspoken behaviour or deals were being struck!
UTV
Reaching a bit here.
But hes a good player.
Great signing if it happens. Bobby Robson, when he brought him to the toon, said he possess the most raw talent he’d ever seen in a youngster. Coming from Robson, that holds extra meaning. Get him in, straighten him out and we’re on our way to having a quality squad, not just starting 11.
Robson is a geriatric mentalist though
Haha, Timmy I LOVE your comments!
Martin O’Neil’s sofa is in Buckinghamshire. Anyway if the Zog was on it, he would probably have been routing between the cushions trying to find any spare change.
He has a 2 seater in his office in the Midlands, which I believe is at Bodymoor Heath. http://www.cscontractfurniture.com/products/details/200-02/
It’s that one if I remember rightly. I supply foam to the upholstery company y’see.
Good for you Martin Banks.
God Bless Lord Martin of Aston!!
He can’t play anywhere on the left-hand side, just left wing. He doesn’t have 2 good feet. He scored one good goal with his right, but that’s it.
Tell me what you're thinking...
