New season, new hope for Aston Villa fans

To say the last couple of seasons have been miserable ones for Aston Villa and their fans would be putting it mildly as, beginning with then-manager Martin O’Neill’s decision to resign days before the 2010/11 season began, the club has fallen from challenging for Europe and honours, to fighting simply to stay in the league. However this coming season brings a new hope for fans of the Birmingham club, as new manager Paul Lambert looks to get the club back on the right track.

The change that the appointment of Lambert has wrought throughout the whole club has been remarkable and, the renewed sense of hope and prospects for the coming season is reflected everywhere from the opinions of supporters on club websites to the odds on Villa having a good season at online casino and sports bet sites. At the end of last season, the club was in such disarray – having survived the drop by the skin of its teeth, and with fans and manager at loggerheads – that you would have found few willing to gamble on them doing anything other than going down this season. Now Villa are considered a serious bet for one of the European places once again.

Surprisingly Lambert has not opted for a wholesale revamping of the squad that he inherited from Alex McLeish, suggesting either that he is confident that he already has the basis of a winning side available to him, or that the money is not available for any big forays into the transfer market.

There is certainly a possibility that the latter is the case, as McLeish was given little money to spend by the increasingly frugal owner, Randy Lerner – but it is unlikely that a manager of Paul Lambertís growing reputation would have taken the Villa job unless he was satisfied about the money that would be available to him.

With the new season approaching everybody is itching to get sport betting once more, sadly however there are only certain points in the week you can bet on football. If you want to gamble at any time of the day, is open 24 Hours. Whether its the themed slot machines such as Football Frenzy, or table games like Blackjack or Roulette, you can access your account at any time of the day and bet to your hearts content.
